Maanrock is a Belgian open air festival in the center of Mechelen.

It takes place annually at the end of August. The main stage is on the Grote Markt and the side stages on the Botermarkt and the IJzerenleen. A youth day (Saturday) and a family day (Sunday) have been chosen.

Maanrock had its first edition in 1996 and grew to be the largest and most visited free rock and pop festival in Flanders. In 2005, more than 120,000 people came to Mechelen, a record.

Rock Werchter is four days, four stages with the biggest headliners, young talents, raging rockers, incredible singer-songwriters, new names and the coolest beats around. Rock Werchter books acts from all kinds of genres. In 2019 Belgium's largest summer festival takes place between Thursday 27 June and Sunday 30 June. Rock Werchter is a unique experience. Musilac is a French music festival. It occurs in Aix-les-Bains, France every year since 2002. It lasts between two and four days, in mid-July, at the Esplanade of the Lac du Bourget.

The festival's popularity has steadily increased, with about 75,000 spectators in 2012, compared to 15,000 in 2003. This popularity is greatly helped by the many different genres of music present, from Rock to Electro, Pop to Reggae and many more. This is in contrast to many other festivals which specialize in a specific genre.
